NoNAME - GOLD SAVE THE QUEEN (2014)
€350.00 Sold Out
Related to todays last day in charge of Germanys chancellor Angela Merkel, we are happy to release the last few copies of NoNAME's "Gold Save The Queen…" Silkscreen edition released in 2014, that we just found in our archive, incl. a so far unreleased hand torn AP version.
Back in 2014 the art-activist NONAME was supporting our non-profit association with a very limited exclusive print edition of his artwork entitled "Gold Save The Queen…" with the face of Angela Merkel in front of the European Flag as hommage to one of the most iconic punk images of all time - Jamie Reid's infamous "God Save The Queen" artwork from 1977.
“Gold Save The Queen” hints at the ongoing exploitation of European and world citizens by multi national corporations which is turning the international democracy into an out-of-control corporatism.
The fthree colour motifs have been manually and meticulously printed in silkscreen by hand on acid-free 300 g/m² cotton archival paper by Hahnemühle.
Each edition is individually numbered and signed by the artist.
Size: ca. 70 x 50 cm (27,6 x 19.7 inches)
